- Some of you know this already, but this is for those who don't: The flower is a symbol. It is a rose >>
It symbolizes Ada's womanhood and her feelings. It's her beauty and her thorny defense mechanism. It's her thought balloon without words. It is her vagina. It's the way she smells. It's best planted at the edge of the garden.

I've always thought the flower was one of the cooler, most original aspects of this comic. In a very odd way, it makes me remember Sergio Aragones' doodles in the margins of Mad Magazine. Then I smile.
