your father's lightsaber - ...Not as clumsy or random as a blaster -

oh man, it's been longer than i thought...
i'm going to have to figure out a better way to balance my creation/consumption time. because, well, i found out that The Old Republic actually runs on my laptop.

my previous laptop couldn't run the game (back during the beta testing) so I assumed I'd never get to play it. but i can now.
strangely, even though it's an MMO, i don't play with other people. i like playing it as if it were a single-player game. and honestly, it's really not that interesting (i had higher hopes, considering KotOR 1 and 2 were so amazing).
Star Wars is a bit of a weakness of mine. You should know, but don't need to know - I own lightsabers.

I personally own a copy of KOTOR 2 and have been trying to make time for it, but I know if I sit down to it, it'll be like poof! and 6 hours of my life - gone :) I luuuuuuuv that game :) Mine is an RPG though. 	+1 New Reader ( Reply ) I found this comic yesterday, and spent a few hours reading it in between homework assignments. I was spellbound. This comic is truly a piece of art--the incredibly realistic and vivid characters, the amazing story, the fact that the world is so large and so grand, to the point where these characters actually have full, developed lives before the story, and all the events chronicled along the way.... It's beautiful. It reminds me of all the stories I used to adore that I would see my dad view, when I was a kid. It sort of felt cleansiong, oddly enough. Last night, I had to stop during the Leslie chapter, and when I was trying to fall asleep all i could think about was what would happen next. Rarely do stories do that. Thank you so, so much for creating this beautiful work of art, and I hope to see and enjoy more of your work. 	SWTOR ( Reply ) SWTOR is definitely stuck between an RPG and a MMO. However I thought it was a fantastic game. The Jedi Knight's story is pretty freakin epic. Also, I found that leveling is much more fun and enjoyable with friends and other players. Dunno what server you're on, but I am on Jedi Covenant if you want someone to run through with. Always nice to have a solo toon, but also nice to have a toon that you dedicate to only playing through with someone else. Also, no shame in owning lightsabers.
